You will need your driver login to use the app.

Version 1.0.9 · Build 44 · Released 10 October 2026
Direct APK installation for Android. This download does not install on iPhone.

New in build 44: Lighter photo capture, fewer unnecessary screen refreshes and clearer messages when a connection stalls. Changed stop orders now save before road ETAs finish refreshing.

Also included: Reset a failed stop for a fresh arrival and delivery attempt. Move stops up or down, then Submit to update Nexus and recalculate ETAs, or Discard to keep the original order. Includes the compact stop screen, continuous photos, automatic route tracking and driver/mate access.

Also included: One shutter tap saves a photo into the stop gallery, with no extra photo confirmation. Improved signature handling keeps signing steady. Tap Save information to save the form on your phone, then Depart to return to the full stop list for that route.

Visible route controls: Start route and End route stay at the top of the route screen. Starting a route requires location services and the required location permissions; End route becomes available once the route has started. Confirm when you finish your driving day, even if some stops remain unfinished. Saved proof and unfinished work are retained, and pending uploads retry when connected.

Route closure: When Nexus closes your route, the app updates automatically, stops tracking that route and lets you open your next route. Closures made while you are offline are picked up automatically when you reconnect. Saved proof and queued uploads are retained.

Live route updates: Live route changes appear automatically: added, removed, edited and resequenced stops update the route list and map. The app catches up automatically when you return or reconnect. Your current screen, progress and locally saved proof are preserved. No manual route refresh is needed.

Also included: Items and quantities now appear directly beneath the job address, with larger text, clearer headings and visible back controls. A simpler stop flow: Arrive → Items delivered or issue → Photos with optional comments → Customer name and signature together → COD only if needed → Save information, then Depart. Local and offline saving is retained; proof syncs after departure when a connection is available.

Set up and repair Android notifications

Set this up while parked, with mobile data or Wi-Fi connected. These steps link this phone to your driver account for customer messages and route alerts.

  1. Open Drive It and sign in with your approved driver account.
  2. Open Account → Notifications & device tools.
  3. Under Job and message notifications, tap Enable and securely link this device. You can also use Enable notifications on the Your work screen.
  4. Allow notifications when your phone asks, then wait for Registered with Nexus. Delivery still needs a test notification.
  5. Arrange a test with the Nexus office. Lock the phone, check that the alert arrives, then tap it to confirm the correct route or message opens. Registration alone does not prove delivery.

Android settings: open Settings → Apps → Nexus Drive It → Notifications and allow notifications, including its notification categories. If alerts are delayed, allow background activity and set the app battery setting to Unrestricted where available. On Samsung, remove Drive It from Sleeping / Deep sleeping apps. Reopen Drive It after a Force stop. Menu names vary by phone.

Still not receiving alerts?
  • Notifications are not enabled: allow them in your phone settings, reopen Drive It and tap the link button again.
  • Registration pending or linking will retry: check your connection, leave Drive It open briefly and tap the link button again. The app also retries registration when connected.
  • Registered, but no alert: check Focus / Do Not Disturb and ask the office to check the test result.

Stay signed in for work alerts. Signing out disconnects this phone from driver notifications. Do not uninstall Drive It or clear its data while it contains unsent delivery evidence.

If the problem continues, contact Nexus with your phone model, app version and exact notification status. Do not send your password or customer details.

Install in four steps

New to the app? Read the iPhone and Android setup guides or download a PDF — includes location sharing, background permissions and completing your route.

  1. Open this page on your Android phone

Use Chrome or your usual browser and tap Download Android APK. If you opened this link inside an email or messaging app, choose Open in browser first. Let the download finish.

  2. Allow installation from your browser

Open the downloaded .apk file from the download notification or your phone’s Downloads folder. If Android asks, tap Settings and enable Allow from this source for the browser or file manager you used.

The usual path is Settings → Apps → Special app access → Install unknown apps. Wording varies by phone. Only allow a source you trust; you can turn this permission off again after installation.

  3. Install or update Drive It

Return to the installer and tap Install, or Update if Drive It is already on your phone. When it finishes, tap Open. You do not need to install Expo Go.

  4. Sign in with your driver account

Enter your driver username or email address and password. Use the account details provided by Nexus. If you cannot sign in, contact the office so we can check your access.

Need a hand?

Does the download need a password?

No. You can share this page with a driver and they can download the APK directly. Their own driver login is still required to view jobs, routes and customer details.

I already have Drive It installed

Install this APK over your existing version and choose Update. Make sure completed jobs and delivery evidence have synced first. If Android reports an installation conflict, contact the office before uninstalling the app or clearing its data.

Android has blocked the installation

Check that installation is allowed for the browser or file manager opening the APK. A managed work phone may need approval from your administrator. If Play Protect reports the app as unsafe, stop and contact the office with the exact message; keep Play Protect switched on.

For installation or account help, contact Nexus.
